It was a tough day. I'd been prospecting for hours with no luck and was pretty discouraged. You know - that "why bother" feeling that can stop you in your tracks.

Suddenly, a song popped into my head (you can listen to it here). It was one I'd sung at Young Life in high school.

Seek and ye shall find.
Knock and the door shall open.
Ask and it shall be given.
And the love come a-trickling down.

It was exactly what I needed to hear. And, the original source (Matthew 7:7) was an impeccable one.

For years, that song played in my head. It's message, that I was ultimately responsible for my own success, was critical. If I didn't do the preliminary work (e.g. prospecting), I'd never get the love!

We all need motivation to keep going. Often times it comes from external sources like books, songs, movies and other people.

And, what motivates us changes over time based on where we are in our own lives. Right now, this quote is having a big impact on me:

"If I don't, who will?"

I don't know the source and it really doesn't matter. It's what drives me to continually create free content like this that can help people like you.
