  • Management's failure to understand changing customer/behavior.

I agree 100% with your point of view, the big problem for the sales people is to convince the owner (CEO, President, etc) that a good website is essential in a Google economy.

Thanks for creating such a succinct list. It's difficult to see these trends coming when you are busy running a business. Add in a reluctance to change what has worked and you have a stale sales model. Our CEO Peer Group members appreciate good advice like this.

These are real problems that I have encountered across all industries. That is part of the reason that I have shifted my focus from merely sales strategy development, but now also implementing technology to support strategies.
